CDA

College of Dryland Agriculture

The College of Dryland Agriculture (CDA) is among the firstly established colleges since JJU was inaugurated. The College functions targeting in producing skilled human power in the area of dryland agriculture by engaging in research, community services and technology transfer to solve the various problems in dryland agriculture.

CDA has been actively playing its role to meet the needs of dryland agriculture in terms of producing skilled human power under its five departments and one program (Animal and Rangeland Science, Dryland Crop Science, Natural Resource Management, Food Science & Nutrition, Rural development and agricultural extension and mid -career program). It has been also engaging in various researches and community service activities.

It has been also engaging in various researches and community service activities.

With regard to research and community services, eighteen research projects have been undertaken only in 2008 and 2009 E.C .

Recently, the College is showing a promising progress in fulfilling the various infrastructures development required to deliver quality education aided by practical activities. Thus, a research center at JJU compound, a student demonstration site, green house, and a lath house were all established in collaboration with JJU’s Research Directorate including a purchase of additional laboratory equipments.
